Step 2: Look closely for the six red lights underneath the translucent cover.
Step 3: Turn the key to the OFF position. The six red lights should go out.
If the test worked as described, the brown wire has been connected properly. Proceed to the next
step.
If the test did NOT work as described, try it again in a darker area or cup your hands around the
cover; the lights can be difficult to see. Next, check the wiring and fuses using a DC voltmeter. The
brown wire should read 12 or 24 volts when the ignition switch is on, and 0 volts when the switch
is off. The wire may have been connected to a modulated circuit. This is a common mistake. If the

. Lytx recommends to not drive the vehicle until the malfunction is resolved.
Create Vehicle to VER association
IMPORTANT STEP: Now that the VER is successfully installed and wiring connections have been
confirmed, your next step is to finalize the association between the vehicle and the VER with Lytx
Technical Support.
1.
Contact Lytx Technical Support at (866) 910-0403 or support@lytx.com and state that you
are confirming a vehicle to VER association.
2.
Provide the following information:
a.
Customer Name and Location
b.
Company Vehicle/Asset Number (not VIN)
c.
VER serial number (SN:) – (example: ER953C27 located on side of VER)
d.
Vehicle Type – (example: Tractor trailer, Pickup truck, Sedan, etc.)
3.
Wait for Technical Support to confirm the association.
