installation instructions

before using your freezer

• Remove the exterior and interior packaging material.
• Check to be sure you have the following parts:

- 1 Storage Basket
- 1 Instruction Manual
- 1 Plastic Scraper

• Before connecting the freezer to the power source, let it stand up-

right for approximately 2 hours. This will reduce the possibility of a
malfunction in the cooling system due to its handling during trans-
portation.

• Clean the interior surfaces of the appliance with lukewarm water

and a soft cloth.

installing the freezer

• This is a freestanding chest freezer, therefore it should not be re-

cessed or built-in.

• Place the freezer on a floor that is strong enough to support it

fully loaded.

• Allow a 15 cm clearance to the back and sides of the freezer, this

will allow a proper air circulation.

• Locate the freezer away from direct sunlight and sources of heat

(ranges, heaters, radiators etc.). Direct sunlight may affect the
acrylic coating and heat sources may increase electrical consump-
tion. A very cold ambient may also cause the freezer to malfunc-
tion.

• Avoid locating the freezer in moist areas.
• Plug the freezer into an exclusive, properly installed-grounded

wall outlet. Do not, under any circumstances cut or remove the
third (grounding) prong from the power cord. Any questions con-
cerning power and/or grounding should be addressed to a certi-
fied electrician or an authorized service center.

• After plugging the appliance into a wall outlet, allow the unit to

cool down for 2-3 hours before placing food in it.
