Hoist Start Up and Function Checks

The section below will show how to start up the Hoist for the use of the customer as well as completing some basic functional
checks to ensure the Hoist is in working order. The images below refer to the TX600, but the same procedure applies to all
models.

Turning the Hoist ON and OFF

To start up the Hoist the Emergency Lower Tab must be located in the ON position, as the Hoist is delivered to the customer in
the OFF position. To give power to the Hoist, the tab must be pressed upward vertically as shown in the image below. (Figure 34)

Press any button on the Handset once

This should start up the Hoist. The LCD Display should light up Green showing the Home

Screen Display “Battery 100%”.

(Figure 35). The LED should also light up green.

Operating Controls

By pressing the UP or the DOWN arrow button on the handset, the carry bar can be raised or lowered to the correct height for
attaching the sling or positioning an individual. The UP/DOWN functions of the handset buttons are in relation to the travel of
the hoist. That is, the grey button at the top end of the handset activates the UP motion of the carry bar and the Green button
activates the DOWN motion (Figure 36).

Shown in the image opposite are the 2 functions of the hand controller for the Hoist.

It is recommended that the operator hold the carry bar with one hand while raising/lowering is
being done. This will stop the bar accidentally swaying and/or coming into contact with an
individual or close object.
For the same reasons, raise the carry bar above head height when not in use and when traversing
the unloaded hoist.
