Inserting Media
Macromedia Dreamweaver lets you add sound and movies to your Web site
quickly and easily. You can incorporate and edit multimedia files and objects, such
as Java applets; QuickTime, Flash, and Shockwave movies; and MP3 audio files.
You can also attach Design Notes to these objects. And now you can insert Flash
button and text objects from within Dreamweaver itself.
Inserting media objects
You can insert a Java applet, QuickTime or Shockwave movie, Flash movie or
object, ActiveX control, or other audio or video objects in a page.
To insert a media object in a page, do one of the following:
•
Place the insertion point where you want to insert the object, and click the
appropriate button on the Objects panel.
Shockwave, ActiveX and Flash objects have defined buttons. Use the Netscape
Navigator plugin button to insert QuickTime movies and audio files. For more
information, see “Inserting Netscape Navigator plugin content” on page 313.
•
Drag the appropriate button from the Objects panel to the place you want the
object to appear in the Document window.
•
Place the insertion point in the Document window where you want to insert the
object, then choose the appropriate object from the Insert > Media or Insert >
Interactive Images submenu.
