Administering ColdFusion Server
4.
Enter the Web site’s IP address in the IP Address field.
You must manually enter the address because it won’t appear in the drop-down
list at this time. ClusterCATS will dynamically add the address to the IP stack once
you create the cluster.
5.
Click OK on all open dialog boxes to apply your configuration.
6.
Repeat the procedure for each Web site that you want to participate in the cluster.
To add Web site IP addresses to UNIX-based Web servers
See the documentation that came with your Web server for specific procedures about
how to configure Web site IP addresses on your server.
Verifying that the server’s host name is not the same as the Web site’s name
The last step you must do is check that the server’s host name listed on the NIC is not
the same name that the Web site uses. If it is, you have to change one because
ClusterCATS requires the names to be unique.
To check the server’s host name:
1.
Click Start>Settings>Control Panel to display the Windows Control Panel.
2.
Open the Network icon, select the Protocols tab, and click Properties.
The Microsoft TCP/IP Properties dialog box appears.
