Using NF-Walker 2
8.1.
Duration of use
The amount of time the user should use the NF-Walker 2, must be assessed on the basis of
physical condition and state of health. The user’s therapist/doctor is responsible for
assessing usage on a regular basis.
8.2.
Getting the user into NF-Walker 2
The following section presupposes that NF-Walker 2
has been adjusted for the user by a
consultant from Made for Movement or its representatives. The user’s assistant should also
have undergone the necessary training in using the product and read and understood this
user’s manual. The information below describes a number of methods for getting the user
into and out of NF-Walker 2.
8.3.
Shoes
NF-Walker 2 must only be used with shoes compatible with the shoe-clips supplied
by Made for Movement or its representatives. Check regularly to ensure that the
shoes/sandals are having a good fit to the user’s feet. Ensure to tighten the
laces/Velcro so that the shoes fit well.
If you are in doubt if the user is having the appropriate type of shoe or shoe-
size, please contact Made for Movement or its representative.
8.4.
Preparatory steps
Remove the brace from the undercarriage and place it on a mat or a firm
surface
Ensure that all the buckles are open before placing the user in the brace
Activate the brake at the rear axle of the undercarriage
Make sure the lock at the column is in open position
