Assembly
1.
Remove both lid components from the main bin compartment.
2.
Remove battery compartment cover from both lids and insert 4 x AA (1.5 Volt) batteries
into each lid.
3.
Important: insert batteries according to the correct polarity, as illustrated inside the
battery compartment.
4.
For each lid, set the master switch to its “on” ( I ) position.
5.
You will hear two short beeps and two red LED’s will illuminate briefly on the sensor pad.
Place each lid component back on to the top of the main bin compartment.
6.
Your lids are now activated and ready for use.
Operation
Each lid has two operating functions – Sense and Touch.
A sensor pad is located towards the front of the lid surround and is used to control both
functions.
1.
Sense
Swipe your hand over the sensor pad (within approximately 30cm) and the lid will open.
The lid will remain open for a period of approximately

seconds, after which it will close
automatically.
2.
Touch
Touch the centre of the sensor pad and the lid will open.
Once opened, the lid will remain open for a period of approximately 15 minutes, after
which it will close automatically.
