this step to complete.

When using Windows XP, a screen

.  This

software has been tested and
works properly with Windows XP.
Click the

it has finished installing the
software for the USB Datalogger
Interface. Click the

The blue power LED indicator light
on the IFC200 should be on.
If the blue LED indicator light is

NOT

on, unplug the USB cable

from the IFC200.  Wait 5 seconds,
then plug the USB cable into the
IFC200.

Start the MadgeTech Data
Recorder Software.

If necessary, see the software
manual for additional information
on the software.

From the

Communication

menu

on the toolbar choose

Select

Comm Port

from the drop down

list.

A sub-menu will appear listing the
software available communication
ports.  If the IFC200 installation
was successful and the device is
plugged into the computer, the
menu option of USB1 should
appear. If multiple IFC200 devices
are plugged into the same PC,
they will all be listed in this menu
as USB1, USB2, USB3, ... etc. Use
this menu to select the proper
device.

As with the standard COM port
the IFC200 must be configured to
communicate at the proper baud
rate. The IFC200 can be
configured to work with most
MadgeTech Data Loggers by
selecting the proper baud rate in
the software. The baud rate will
be dependent on the baud rate of
the device connected to the host
computer.  For example, a
Temp101 communicates at 2400
baud, so 2400 baud must be
selected from the

Communication

menu.
