MADILL 1200
TRACK ROLLERS - RUN IN PERIOD
All rollers and idlers incorporating duo cone seals requires a run in period. During this
time frame, a certain amount of “weeping” may occur from the rollers while the seal faces
“mate” or “seat” to each other.
This weeping of oil is not considered as a leak and may or may not be visible during
travel operation. If weeping does occur, monitor the roller(s) and report any excessive
amount of oil loss.
Avoid long moves during run in period. Check the temperature of track rollers frequently
to prevent seal failure. Stop periodically to allow rollers to cool during long moves.
