Sawing along markings
The base plate has a tracing edge (22), which can be
used for vertical cuts as well as for angular cuts. This
tracing edge (22) corresponds to the inside (side
facing the motor) of the saw blade.
For bevel cuts, the marking can be seen through the
opening on the inside of the upper guard (left in
cutting direction).

Use the following procedure to saw along markings:
1.
Hold the machine by the handles and position it such that the front part of the base plate is on the
workpiece.
2.
Position the tracing edge (22) at the marking on the workpiece.
3.
Switch on the machine.
4.
Ensure that the tracing edge (22) and the front edge of the saw blade are guided along the marking.
5.
Push the machine steadily forward in the cutting direction.
6.
Switch off the machine at the end of the cut.

Sawing with the parallel guide fence
The parallel guide fence (C) is used for sawing in parallel to an existing edge. The guide fence can be mounted
on the right (motor side) or the left (tool side) side of the machine. The possible adjustable distance is 175 to
250 mm [6.89 to 9.84 in] on the right side and 12 mm to 65 mm [0.47 - 2.56 in] on the left side. In the range of
175 to 200 mm [6.89 - 7.87 in] on the motor side, the machine must be moved upwards by approx. 10 mm [0.4
in] so that the guide fence can be inserted underneath the motor housing.
To check the set width, use an additional measuring device (such as a meter stick) to set the parallel guide
fence to the correct dimension (edge of parallel guide fence to cutting line).
Warning
Risk of injury from defective guard
There is a risk that the parallel guide fence interferes with the operation of
the lower guard if it is used below the minimum dimensions. It is possible
that the saw blade is then freely accessible.
➢
Use the parallel guide only inside the permissible cutting ranges. To
ensure this, take note of the scales on the guide bars.
