• Allen key 3 provided in a holding device on the
motor casing has to be inserted into the flange
screw 5 (Fig. 3) and turned until complete
engagement of the locking bolt. To slacken off the
flange screw, turn the Allen key
counterclock-
wise
, then remove the screw and front clamping
flange 6. The saw blade can now be removed by
raising at the front and pulling downwards. It is
easier to remove the saw blade if the system is
inclined far enough so that the saw blade comes
out by itself from the collar of the rear flange.
• Before fitting the new saw blade, inspect the two
clamping flanges for foreign particles clinging to
them and clean. When inserting the saw blade,
note the correct direction of rotation: The arrow on
the saw blade must point in the same direction as
the arrow 7 on the upper saw guard. Fit the
clamping flange and flange screw and tighten by
turning
clockwise
. The locking bolt can be used
as an aid as when removing the blade. Return
Allen key into its holder at the motor casing.

Riving knife / splitter
Riving knife / splitter 8 (Fig. 4) prevents the saw kerf
from closing behind the saw blade when making rip
cuts. It must therefore be properly adjusted and
used for all sawing work.
The correct clearance between the riving knife /
splitter and the tooth rim as well as the clearance
between the riving knife / splitter and the bottom
tooth is shown in Fig. 5.
These parts are adjusted as follows:
• Set saw blade to maximum cutting depth (see
paragraph 4.2).
• Loosen cylinder-head screws 9 (Fig. 4) with the
help of Allen key 3 (Fig. 2), included in the deliv-
ery, adjust riving knife / splitter by sliding it as nec-
essary in its slot so that its clearance to the teeth
does not exceed 5 mm (3/16 in.) in the entire cut-
ting depth.
• Subsequently, retighten the cylinder-head screws
and return the Allen key 3 into its holder at the
motor casing.

Do not manipulate the locking bolt 4
(Fig. 2) while the saw blade is run-
ning! The system may be damaged.
Before adjusting the riving knife /
splitter always pull out the mains
plug!
