Transport and storage
5.1
Transport
For a longer transport the bow-shaped handle 35
(Fig. 11) should be used. It must, however, be
adjusted into a position on the guide track which cor-
responds to the balancing point of the system.
The adjustment is made as follows:
• Remove guide track extension – if mounted.
• Loosen both hexagon socket screws 36 using
Allen key 3.
• Move bow-shaped handle 35 in the groove of the
guide track until the marking 37 is in the middle of
the handle.
• Retighten hexagon socket screws 36 and return
Allen key into its holder at the motor casing.

Once the bow-shaped handle has beed adjusted
accordingly, the ergonomic transport of the system is
possible, as shown in Fig. 12.

Storage
Placing the saw assembly in its home position
upright against a wall saves a lot of storage room.
The supporting edge of the control panel is equipped
with a nonskid coating.

Service and maintenance
Always remove guide track extension
before transport!
Before this type of storing, the guide
track extention must always be
removed. Otherwise, the tracks might
bend.
Pull out the mains plug before start-
ing on any maintenance work!
MAFELL machines are designed to be
low in maintenance. The ball bearings
used are greased for life. After a pro-
longed period of operation, users are
recommended to have the machine
checked by an authorized MAFELL cus-
tomer service shop.
