6.1
Caring
The system must be regularly cleaned from dust
(when working with plaster-fiber panels this cleaning
must be done daily). When doing so, clean all joins
and guides particularly in the guide track, as well as
the air vents on the motor using a vacuum cleaner.
Spray the joints and guide pieces with machine oil
from time to time in order to maintain their smooth
movement.
6.2
Saw blades
The saw blades used on the machine must be freed
from resin regularly as clean tools improve the cut-
ting quality.
For cleaning only acid-free but no highly alkaline
cleaning agents may be used.
This can be done by soaking the saw blades for
24 hours in paraffin, white spirit or commercially
available resin remover.
6.3
Storage – disposal
If the machine is out of service for a lengthy period of
time, it should be thoroughly cleaned (see
paragraph 6.1). Spray bright metal panels with a
rustproofing agent.
Store the machine only in dry rooms, where it is pro-
tected against weathering.
The components in this machine are neither toxic
nor damaging. In case of disposal of the machine,
the metal parts should be separated from the plastic
parts and each set of parts disposed of in the correct
fashion.

Troubleshooting
Some of the most frequent defects and their causes are listed in the following chart. In case of other defects,
contact your dealer or the MAFELL customer service.
Avoid excessive contact with chemical
agents, particularly solvents, petrol
and benzol. A short contact with acid-
free oil to counteract corrosion does
not cause any damage.
Use silicone spray. Surfaces in contact
with silicone are varnish-repellent.
The determination of the causes of existing defects and their elimination always require
increased attention and caution. Pull out the mains plug before hand!
