Starting the engine
Depending on the type of engine and the ambient tempera-
tures, various start procedures are possible.

To start the engine the following conditions have to be met.
z
The main battery switch needs to be switched on.
z
The swivel seat needs to be locked into one of the two end
positions or in the entry position.
z
The gear shift lever for the transmission must be in the
“
NEUTRAL
” position.

The engine is equipped with a fuel preheater. Turn on the fuel
preheater in winter. There is no need for the fuel preheater in
summer.

OFF (all electrical loads are off, ignition key can be withdrawn).

MT ready for operation (ignition is on, electrical loads such as
radio and two-way radio are on).

Preheats the intake air.

Activates the starter
