OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 

Before using your gun, make sure your voltage and electric current frequency match with the 

gun’s information

• 

Using the cord (6), connect the gun to a 120V/60Hz power supply. 

• 

Holding the gun by the handle (5),  place the solder tip (1) on the point you wish to solder. 

• 

Squeeze the trigger (4), and the bulb (3) will shine and the tip will get hot. 

• 

It will take 6 to 8 seconds for the gun to reach temperature (900˚F) 

• 

When finished soldering, release the trigger.  As long as the trigger is depressed, the gun will continue 

to heat up.   

Do not depress the trigger for long periods of time while soldering.  

When you let go of the trigger, the temperature diminishes quickly. Depressing the trigger quickly raises the 

temperature.

Soldering guns are safe tools. Your Mag-Torch solder gun is UL-US Listed. It complies with all relevant 

safety regulations. As with any electrical appliance, it must be handled with proper care. Be aware, that the 
soldering tip reaches very high temperatures, do not touch. Do not alter the plug in any way. Do not use if 
power cord appears to be damaged or frayed, as electric shock or fires may result.
