4. Configuration (cont)
8. Com 9 Setup
– Displays the setup parameters for Com 9 (auxiliary serial port #9, 7 pin phoenix
connector labeled 1-7).
·
There are several parameters that need to be configured but only one will be active at a
time. The active parameter will blink.
·
The “UP” and “DOWN” buttons may be used to select parameter values.
·
The “OK” button will select the next parameter. When the last parameter has been
configured, it will save the current setting.
·
Com 9 is always enabled so Mode 0 is not a valid selection.
Parameters:
1. Mode – Port mode selection (Mode 0 and 3 are not valid for Com 9):
a. Mode 1 = Command port (accepts switch
control commands).
b. Mode 2 = Command port with event
notification. Same as Mode 1 but every time a
switch cross-point assignment changes, an
event notification (“!M”)* will be issued.
c.
2. Baud Rate – Baud rate selection (only available if the port is enabled).
3. Serial Interface Mode (RS232, RS422).
* The “!M” event notification (!M<LF><CR>) is sent any time a change is made to the
switch matrix. This can be useful when multiple control points are used to control the
Mondo III Matrix as a method to determine when a change has occurred.
It is suggested to query the switch crosspoint status with the D, #D or #M commands
after this event notification is received to update any control system menus.
See the $SPC command in Section 5.
