Main nozzle is blocked.
Unblock the nozzle.

Burner makes popping
noise when gas is shut off
Nozzle diameter does not match gas supply.
Regulate nozzle diameter.
Damper is opened too much.
Reduce damper opening.
Gas supply pressure is too low.
Regulate the valve.
Has yellow/orange flame
and black smoke
Nozzle diameter does not match gas supply.
Regulate the nozzle diameter.
Damper is not opened enough.
Adjust the damper opening.
Gas is nearly empty.
Replace gas.
