How to Adjust Standard Burner
IMPORTANT
: Adjustments must be made with two other burners in operation on a medium setting� This
prevents the upper row of the flames from being set too low, resulting in the flame being extinguished when
other burners are turned on�
The flame can be adjusted using the adjustment screw in the center of the valve stem� The valve stem is located
directly behind the control knob�

If the “Low” flame needs to adjusted:
1�
Light one burner and turn to lowest setting�
2�
Remove the control knob�

Utilize a small flathead screwdriver to adjust the screw by the control knob valve stem�
b�
Slowly turn the screw until the flame appearance is correct�
3�
Re-install the control knob�
4�
Test the flame by turning the control from “Low” to “High”, checking the flame at each setting�
5�
Repeat above steps for each burner�

Use a new CSA International approved gas supply line�

Install a shut-off valve�
•
Securely tighten all gas connections�
•
If connected to LP, have a qualified technician make sure gas pressure does not exceed 14” (36cm) water column�

Examples of a qualified technician include: licensed heating personnel, authorized gas company personnel,
and authorized service personnel�
•
Failure to do so can result in death, explosion or fire�
The range can be used with Natural Gas or LP/Propane Gas� The range is manufactured from the factory for use with
Natural Gas� A kit for converting to LP/Propane Gas is supplied with your cooktop� The kit is marked “For LP/Propane
Gas Conversion”�
NOTE
: When the cooktop is converted for LP/Propane Gas, the LP gas supply is required to provide a minimum of
10” to a maximum of 14” water column to the cooktop regulator�
The conversion must be performed by a qualified technician in accordance with the kit instructions and all local
codes/requirements�
