Encryption:
on wireless networks data is mainly encrypted in order to prevent access by
third parties. Specify here which type of encryption is used by your wireless network.
The setting
“Non encrypted”
means that data will be transmitted without encryption.
If one of the
“WEP”, “WPA” or “WPA2”
encryption methods is used, you will have to enter
additional information on the encryption. Be sure to use exactly the same settings as you see
displayed on the router or access point.
The
“Search”
function may be used to start an automatic search for available wireless
networks. Then select the desired network from the list by marking it under “Selection” and
clicking “
Use”.
Where encryption data is needed for the selected network, these must still be
entered.
Click
“Save”
to accept the changed settings. You will have to reboot the security camera in
order to apply the new wireless settings.
Note:
• The wireless network settings should be used without any alteration. Only by so
doing can the security camera be connected properly.
• The basic settings of the router or access point, too, should remain unchanged
unless necessity dictates otherwise. Otherwise this may result in problems
with other WiFi devices on the network.
