When sending the ventilator for maintenance or repair, observe the process of
disinfection RIGOROUSLY.

Do not immerse the sensor in water, solvents, or cleaning solution (sensors and
connectors are not waterproof). Do not sterilize by irradiation, steam, or corrosion
sterilization. See the cleaning instructions in the instructions for use for Masimo
LNOP® / LNCS® reusable sensors.

Do not use damaged patient cables.
•
Removable Magnamed accessories and components that exhibit damage or signs of
wear should be replaced to prevent use.

Packaging of non-sterile devices (breathing circuits, expiratory valves, and connectors)
is designed to keep these products at the proper cleaning level to be sterilized prior to
use and to minimize microbial contamination.

Cleaning

Do not sterilize the oximeter by pressure, gas or steam.
o
Do not soak or immerse the monitor in any liquid.
o
Use the cleaning solution sparingly. The excess may leak into the monitor and
cause internal damage to the components.
o
Do not use solutions derived from petroleum, ketones or other harsh solvents
to clean the oximeter. These substances attack the material and can cause
problems to the device.

Do not use abrasive cleaners.
•
Do not use alcohol to clean the plastic parts, except when specified.
•
Do not immerse the ventilator in any liquid.
