Time Search
Time Search lets you rewind or fast forward a tape to a posi-
tion by entering the amount of playback time you want to
skip.

When a tape is in the TV/VCR, press TIME
SEARCH.

Press PLAY/

or STOP/
▼
until your length of
time appears (for example, 2:50 for 2 hours, 50 min-
utes). Each press increases the time by 10 minutes.
To cancel the Time Search at this point, press MENU.

or F.FWD/

. The TV/VCR will
rewind or fast forward the tape by the specified
amount of time. The time counts down on the screen
as the search progresses. When 0:00 is reached, the
tape will start playback automatically.
Or, to cancel the time search before it finishes, press
STOP/

• Time Search can be set up to a
maximum of 9 hours 50 minutes
(9:50) in 10-minute increments.
• Time Search is not available dur-
ing recording.

Zero Return
Set the counter to zero at a location you want to reach later.

Play, rewind, or fast forward the tape to the location
you would like to refer to later. Press STOP/

to
stop the tape.

Press RESET to set the counter to 0:00:00.

When you later want to return to this point,
press MENU. Press PLAY/

or STOP/
▼
to
select ZERO RETURN. Then, press F.FWD/

The counter will appear on the screen. When the tape
reaches the point at which you set the counter to zero,
the tape will stop. Press PLAY/

to watch the tape.
