Quick-Use Guide

Quick-Use Guide

There are many ways to connect your new VCR to your TV and other equipment.This
Quick-Use Guide shows the easiest, most common connection between the VCR and a
TV. Other connections, including Cable Boxes, are described in the owner’s manual.

1. Press PLAY or STOP to select ENGLISH, FRANCAIS, or

ESPAÑOL.

2. Press F. FWD.

AUTO SET UP will appear.

3. Press F. FWD again to set TV channels.

AUTO SET UP will

flash and channels will count up as setup progresses.When channels
are set, the VCR will go to the lowest channel.

You are finished setting up the VCR.To play a tape or make a
recording, see the reverse side of this Quick-Use Guide.

You may have your antenna or Cable TV signal connected to your TV
already.

Disconnect the antenna/Cable TV signal from your TV.

Connect the antenna/Cable TV signal to the VCR’s
ANT(enna) IN jack.

Connect the supplied black coaxial cable to the VCR’s OUT
jack and to the TV’s Antenna In jack.

Plug in the power cords of the TV and the VCR.

Set the TV to channel 3.

If you cannot use channel 3, change to chan-

nel 4. Change the VCR’s output channel to 4 also.To do so, press and hold
PLAY on the VCR for three seconds during tape play.
The VCR’s default output channel is 3.To reset it to channel 3 at any
time, unplug the VCR’s power cord for more than 30 seconds.

Press POWER to turn on the VCR.When you first turn on
the new VCR, set channels and select a menu language.

You

will be using the remote. Install its batteries first.
