1. Overview
The DataLogger Series 4 (DLS4) is designed to
simplify troubleshooting by recording and
presenting detailed operational histories that are
necessary for cost-saving preventive
maintenance.
The DataLogger Series 4 is a logging device
that allows the operator to easily access Run,
Alarm, and Fault histories for the IMPULSE
®
•G+
Mini, IMPULSE
®
•G+/VG+ Series 3, and
IMPULSE
®
•G+/VG+ Series 4 drives. It is also
the standard keypad included on the
OmniPulse
®
DDC Series 2 and MagnePulse
®
DMC Series 2 drives. The DLS4 can store 11
parameter sets. It is designed to be a fit-and-
form replacement to the
IMPULSE•G+/VG+
Series 4 keypad. The supplied RJ45 cable is
required to connect the DataLogger Series 4 to
an IMPULSE
•G+ Mini or IMPULSE•G+/VG+
Series 3 drive. The DLS4 stores trending data
which can be used by IMPULSE
®
•Link 5 to
generate charts of various monitors.

The DataLogger Series 4 can log:

All data acquisition is automatic. Data viewing and analysis is available via the LCD display or by
connecting to your PC, via USB, and viewing the data in
the IMPULSE•Link 5 software. The DLS4
receives power from either the drive or by USB when connected to the PC. The internal clock is powered
by a battery.
NOTE: Cables for remote mounting must be less than 50 feet in length.
