14 Decommissioning, disassembly and disposal
A pedestrian barrier that is no longer usable should not be recycled
as a complete unit, but disassembled into individual components
and recycled according to material types. Non-recyclable materials
have to be disposed of in an environmental-friendly manner.
Prior to decommissioning and disposal of the pedestrian barrier, it
must be completely separated from the surrounding units.
Decommissioning, disassembly and disposal of the pedestrian
barrier may only be carried out by specialised staff.
Disassemble the pedestrian barrier in reverse order from
assembly.
The pedestrian barrier has to be disposed of in accordance with
the respective country-specific regulations.
