c. Use a suitable hoist to lift the carriage and lower it above the lift until the head
plate is approx. 90 mm above the running surface of the carriage. Then mount the
jack axles incl. rollers (see illustration). Set the tightening torque to 50 ±5 Nm.
d. Lift the carriage so that the jack is still firmly positioned on the ground and the
carriage rollers are already in contact with the carriage.
Now observe the procedure for securing the jack described in step 9 in section
"Assembly of the Carriage Version up to 16.5 t". Since the carriages above a load
capacity of 20 t have no handle openings, it is recommended to wrap the lashing
straps around the side panel. Note the central alignment of the jack and the
intertwining of two lashing straps in opposed directions to prevent the lift from
slipping.
3 After securing the lift in the carriage, carry out steps 11, 13, 14 and 15 described in
section "Assembly of the Carriage Version up to 16.5 t".
