Refilling with Hydraulic Fluid
Before checking and topping up the fluid level, make sure the piston rod is fully
retracted
and the jack is disconnected from the air and power supply. The fluid level
must be between the two notches on the screwed-in dipstick.
If the dipstick has only one notch, this indicates the maximum fluid level and the lower
end of the dipstick the minimum fluid level.
NOTICE
Replace the hydraulic fluid periodically, depending on aging, soiling and water ab-
sorption, but after six years at the latest.
When topping up, use fluid with the same specification only.
If the system was factory-filled with rapeseed oil, only use rapeseed oil labelled BIO
HY-FLUID HV 34 for topping up.
If the pit jack is operated permanently at an ambient temperature of < 15 °C (59 °F),
use hydraulic fluid with a lower viscosity.
The pressure hoses should be replaced as required, but after six years at the latest.
