23.4 Check Brake Fluid Level and Leak Check
Inspect the level of the brake fluid before each operation and look
for leaks if the brake fluid is found to be low. The brake fluid
reservoir is located at the rear of the engine bay on the driver's
side.
1. Position the ROXOR on a flat level surface.
2. Verify the engine is off and parking brake set.
3. The brake fluid level should be between the upper MAX and
lower MIN level lines. (Refer to the below image)
4. If the brake fluid level is lower than the MIN level line, clean
the cap prior to removal, then add brake fluid until the fluid
level is near the MAX line.
5. After reinstalling cap, apply pressure to the brake pedal for a
few seconds, next check for fluid leakage around the six main
components and their fittings.
After opening a bottle of brake fluid, always discard any unused
portion. Never store or use a partial bottle. Brake fluid is
hygroscopic, meaning it rapidly absorbs moisture from the air. The
moisture results in the boiling temperature of the brake fluid to
drop, which can lead to early brake fade and result in severe injury
or accidents.
Replace brake fluid any time the fluid becomes contaminated or
the type of the fluid in the reservoir is unknown to prevent system
damage.
