Changing the grinding discs

•

The grinding discs should be changed after grinding around

1500 kg of coffee beans.

The weight in kg depends on the grinding degree, coffee

bean type, degree of roasting and condition of the grinding

discs.

•

Wear gloves when changing the grinding discs. The manufac-

turer recommends using the “tool for grinding disc change”

to change the discs (available as an optional accessory).

•

After the grinding discs have been changed, the manufac-

turer recommends adjustment of the grinding discs (see the

chapter on “Adjusting the grinding discs”) and calibration of

the Disc Distance Detector.

1.

Proceed as described in the chapter on “Cleaning the grinding mecha-

nism manually”, steps 1

7.

2.

Use a slot screwdriver to undo the two screws of the fixed grinding disc

(32)

and remove them from the fixed disc flange

(33)

.

3.

Remove the flapper

(34)

from the recess in the built-in grinder and insert

the locking tool

(35)

for grinding disc change in the grinder in such a way

that the grinding disc carrier

(31)

 is fixed (see

Fig. L

).

4.

Undo the two screws of the rotating grinding disc on the grinding disc

carrier and use the removal tool

(36)

to remove the grinding disc from

the grinding chamber.

Guide the removal tool into the grinding chamber from above. Place the

recess of the removal tool under the grinding disc, so that it is slightly

offset. Guide the removal tool into the centre of the grinding disc and

remove the grinding disc by lifting it upwards.

5.

Remove the excess ground coffee from the grinding chamber with a

hand-held vacuum cleaner.

Make sure that the grinding disc carrier is completely clean.

6.

Place the new rotating grinding disc on the grinding disc carrier and use a

slot screwdriver to tighten the two screws.

7.

Remove the locking tool. Replace the flapper in its recess in the built-in

grinder.
