10 ER-AS extraction socket for
WC odour extraction

ER GH housings can be connected to the WC
flushing pipe using the ER-AS extraction socket.
A DN 70 duct cross section facilitates low air
speeds in the connecting duct and an effective,
draft-free extraction of odours.

Pre-requirement for the connection:

 A DN 70

branch must be installed in the flushing pipe of
the flush-mounted cistern.

Installation

1. Fit ER-AS extraction socket as described

2. Connect the connection duct to the ER-AS ex-

traction socket and the branch in the flushing
pipe of the flush-mounted cistern. Make sure
the connections between the connection duct
and the extraction socket and the branch are
tight.

3. For installing fan insert and cover → Instruc-

tions for ER covers.

11 Operating the unit

ER EC fans run 

at 30 m³/h in base load opera-

tion

 (factory setting).

A light switch or separate switch can be used to
switch to 

full-load operation with 60 m³/h

.

The unit control is located in the cover: ER-AK,
ER-AH and ER-AB have automatic functions with
unit parameters that can be set:

• ER-AH: Model with humidity control, barrier-free

• ER-AB: Model with motion sensor, barrier-free
For full load operation, a 

start delay

 of 60

seconds and an 

overrun time

 of 15 minutes are

specified 

at the factory

.

 Ensure sufficient supply air during opera-

tion.

 If the unit is switched on and off manually,

function is not always ensured in accordance
with DIN 18017-3.

 Spare parts may only be sourced from and

fitted by a specialist installer.
