2.2 Product description
Models
ERR ..:
Centrifugal duct fans, standard
●
model with nominal sizes Ø 100 to Ø 355.
ERR .. S:
Centrifugal duct fan, powerful
●
model with wider impeller, nominal sizes
Ø 100 to Ø 355.
ERR .. N:
Centrifugal duct fan, energy-
●
saving model with nominal sizes Ø 100
to Ø 200.
Product features
Unit for air extraction or venting,
●
depending on installation position.
With inlet and outlet side connection
●
couplings for direct installation in the
ventilation ducts, any installation position.
Centrifugal impeller with backwards
●
curved blades.
All types feature speed control.
●
Air flow and rotational direction are
●
marked by arrows on the fan housing
(
Fig. B).
The unit is switched on or off with an
●
optional switch.
ERR .. and ERR .. S: Model with external
●
rotor capacitor motor. Operating capacitor
pre-wired in terminal box.
ERR .. N: Low-energy model with reduced
●
speed. Operating capacitor pre-wired in
terminal box. ERR 16/1 N and ERR 20/1 N
with extra 2nd capacitor in inside, pre-
wired.
Thermal overload protection
The fan motor has thermal protection
(temperature sensor in the motor winding).
The overload protection automatically
switches the fan off in the event of
overheating.
The fan must remain switched off long
enough for the motor and temperature limiter
to cool down, before starting the fan back up.
Depending on size and temperature condi-
tions, it may take
up to 10 minutes
to cool
down. Only switch unit on after this.
2.3 Intended use
ERR are duct fans for domestic and light-
●
duty commercial use.
These fans are used for air extraction or
●
venting, for example in the machine area,
workplace, production site, storage room,
lab, workshop, break area or rooms
without windows.
IP X4 type protection is only satisfied
●
when installed in ventilation ducts, on
the inlet and outlet sides with at least 1 m
of duct.
Operation is only permitted:
●
● with the ERR fan installed directly in the
duct. Folded spiral-seam ducts of the
appropriate nominal size are permitted for
the duct.
● with an ERR fan permanently installed
on the wall, ceiling or bracket. We
recommend the optional FUR attachment
foot for mounting. The mounting location
must demonstrate sufficient load-bearing
capacity.
