Installation preparations
9.1 Transport
●
Adhere to the valid safety and accident
prevention regulations for transportation.
9.2 Requirements at the EW-K 225
installation site
●
Rooms with an ambient temperature from
+10... +40 °C, e.g. in the cellar or in the loft
are permissible.
●
A fixed installation of the EW-K 225 on the
wall or ceiling is prescribed (use fixing
brackets).
●
Permitted installation position with the
condensation run-off at the bottom.
●
Once it has been lined up horizontally, the
EW-K 225 must be screwed into place
using the supplied mounting material.
●
Siphon in the condensation drain tube and
sufficient incline for the condensation run-
off. Condensation drain with drain tap.
●
Working space for maintenance work such
as filter change: Allow for at least 70 cm
space for removing the housing cover.

Installation (Specialist
installer)
10.1 Procedure
Install the ground collectors. See Planning
documents in Chapter 8.
Bring the EW-K 225 brine register to the
installation site.
Connect the condensation run-off and fill
the siphon up with water.
Connect the DN 224 ventilation channels
and install protective grilles at the external
connections.
Install the EW-PG pump assembly.
Connect the ground connector ducts
(pressure ducts EW-D, forward and return
flow) with the pump assembly.
Connect the pump assembly to the
EW-K 225.
Fill up the ducting system a 25 % glycol-
water mix. Bleed the air from the system.

Carry out a pressure test on the ducting
system,

Install the EW-S controller and connect it to
the pump. The EW-S controller should be
installed at a suitable location close to the
unit (no splash water protection).
Install the two PT 1000 temperature
sensors before and after the EW-K 225, for
recording the air temperature.
Connect the mains power.
Start-up the EW-System.
Set up the basic settings in the EW-S
controller Operator menu. Carry out a
system test in the Service menu (P5...P15).
Give the user instructions about using the
system.
