You should have all of these parts in your frame kit.
What Makes It Clean
The terms
clean
and
dirty
might seem like a strange way to
describe frames. We aren’t talking about the part of the frame
that sits closest to the ground and therefore is most likely to get
dirty. We are talking about vibrations. The theory behind these
types of subframes is simple: build one subframe to hold all the
moving parts—which cause vibrations—and another to hold
everything else. We isolate these two subframes by providing
the least amount of contact possible between them. For the Lit-
tle Dipper, we ship it with four small aluminum standoffs that
mount the two frames together. It is possible to isolate them
even further by replacing the aluminum standoffs with rubber
versions. During our testing, we found very little difference in
performance between the two. As a result, we believe that the
aluminum standoffs last longer, and that is ultimately what
drove us to including them in the frame kit.
