3.2.7 Operating Brakes
•
Brakes can be easily applied by
pulling the brake handle towards
the handle bar
•
Release brakes by pressing
down the brake release lever
•
In this loaded-reach position the
brakes must be applied.
•
When ‘reaching’ load at height,
always apply brakes.
•
Applying the brakes fixes the
pivot point at the wheel position
and improves leverage on the
load.
