NOTE:
• Before starting pressing the stroke adjusting button, push the nozzle forward.
3. Press the power tool with the hammer drill bit installed against the wall until the drill bit tip touches the wall.
4. Release the stroke adjusting button to lock it.
Setting the drilling depth (depth gauge)
If holes require to be drilled to an exact depth, the correct depth needs to be determined by drilling test holes.

1. Hold the power tool so that finger(s) does not press the switch trigger.
2. Press the depth gauge button and with the button pressed slide the lock button carriage to the desired length and
release it.
The distance (X) between the attachment housing and the depth gauge button is equal to the drilling depth.
Operation

• Always follow national laws, regulations and ordinance which prescribe working with materials hazardous to health.
Drilling
When drilling into concrete, hold the power tool firmly with both hands so that the entire nozzle top keeps in tight contact
with the concrete surface. Any part of the nozzle away from the concrete surface may cause poor dust collection.
Beating dust on the filter (Fig. 15)
CAUTION:
•
When using the tool with the dust collection system, be sure to attach the filter to the dust collection system to prevent
dust inhalation.
•
Before using the dust collection system, check that the filter is not damaged. Failure to do so may cause dust
inhalation.
• Do not turn the dial on the dust case while the dust case is removed from the dust collection system. Doing so may
cause dust inhalation.
• Always switch off the tool when turning the dial on the dust case. Turning the dial while the tool is running may result
in the loss of control of the tool.
By beating the dust on the filter inside the dust case, you can keep the vacuum efficiency and also reduce the number
of times to dispose of the dust.
Turn the dial on the dust case three times after collecting every 50,000 mm

of dust or when you feel the vacuum
performance declined.

Switch-off delay function
After turning off, the dust collection system will run for a few seconds longer to collect the remaining dust in the duct
in the dust case.
Emptying the dust case
NOTE:
• Too much dust in the dust case would result in a considerable loss of dust extracting power. Accordingly, clean out
the dust case regularly.
CAUTION:
• Wear respiratory protection when emptying the dust case.
•
Do not touch the filter section when cleaning it.
•
Do not use a brush or air duster to clean the filter section. Using a brush or compressed air may damage the filter.
1. Before removing the dust case from the attachment, hold the power tool horizontally.

2. Press the dust case release button and with the button depressed pivot it on the lower side axis.
3. Remove the dust case from the attachment.
4. To open the dust case, raise the lever lightly and then pivot the transparent section.

5. Empty the dust case by tapping it lightly.

Be careful not to let out excessive dust into the air.
6. Remount the dust case in place on the attachment.
