Preparation
1.
While working, always wear substantial
footwear and long trousers. Do not operate
the equipment when barefoot or wearing open
sandals.
2.
Thoroughly inspect the area where the
equipment is to be used and remove all objects
which can be thrown up by the machine.
3.
Before using, always visually inspect to see
that the tools are not worn out or damaged.
Replace worn out or damaged elements and
bolts in sets to preserve balance.
Operation
1.
Work only in daylight or in good artificial light.
2.
When working on slopes:
−
Make sure that there are no children or
other people within a working range of 20
meters (66 ft), also pay attention to any
animals in the working vicinity. Otherwise
stop using the tool.
−
always be sure of your footing,
−
work across the slopes, never up and
down,
−
exercise extreme caution when changing
direction on slopes.
3.
Do not work on excessively steep slopes.
4.
Walk, never run with the machine.
5.
Use extreme caution when reversing or pulling
the machine towards you.
6.
Start the motor carefully according to
manufacturer instructions and with feet well
away from the tool(s).
7.
Do not put your hands or feet near or under
rotating parts.
8.
Never pick up or carry a machine while the
motor is running.
9.
Switch off the equipment and remove the lock
key in the cases below:
−
whenever you leave the machine
unattended,
−
before clearing blockages.
10.
Pay particular attention on hard or stony field
because the machine tends to be much less
stable than on cultivated ground and use slow
speed for ploughing.
Maintenance and storage
1.
Before storing the machine in a confined or
closed place, let it cool down for a sufficient
period of time.
2.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to ensure
the equipment is in safe working condition.
3.
To reduce the fire hazard, keep the motor,
battery compartment and storage area free of
vegetative material and excessive grease.
4.
Switch off the equipment and remove the lock
key in the cases below:
−
before checking, cleaning or working on
the machine,
−
after striking a foreign object. Inspect the
machine for damage and make repairs
before restarting and operating the
machine,
−
if the machine starts to vibrate abnormally.
Inspect for damage and replace or repair
any damaged parts. Check for and tighten
any loose parts.
