CAUTION:

 

Always be sure that the tool is 

switched off and the battery cartridge is removed 

before carrying out any work on the tool.

Installing the backing pad

Put the backing pad on the shaft then turn the bolt 

clockwise with a hex wrench.

CAUTION:

 

Make sure that the backing pad is 

secured properly.

 Loose attachment will run out of 

balance and cause an excessive vibration which may 

cause loss of control.

Installing side grip

Optional accessory

CAUTION:

 

Tighten the caps or side grip firmly.

 

Otherwise, the front cover may fall and cause an injury.

Remove the cap and screw the side grip on the tool securely.

The side grip can be installed on either side of the tool.

Only use hook-and-loop system 

pads for polishing.

 Pad

To install the pad, �st remove all dirt and foreign matter from the 

hook-and-loop system of the pad and the backing pad. Attach the 

pad to the backing pad so that their edges are aligned.

To remove the pad from the backing pad, just pull up from its edge.
