Quick Installation Guide For Petroleum Sites with Mako Performing MNSP Function v2.1.1
Type 4: Upgrade to Mako with existing EZR, No Outside EMV
1)
LAN 1 (Card Net) should be cabled to slot A on the Commander or the Payment Network port on
the Commander 16/RubyCi.
2)
LAN2 (VFI POS) should be cabled according to one of two scenarios:
a.
If the EZR is to be replaced, power down and remove the EZR and replace it with the
Mako-supplied switch. Connect Mako LAN2 (VFI POS), the Verifone POS and Verifone
Zone port (N on the Commander and Ethernet Symbol on Commander 16/RubyCi) to the
Mako-supplied switch. This is the same as a Type 1 setup.
b.
If the EZR is to be decommissioned to act as a switch, please follow the Verifone EZR
Decommission Guide, then return to this document.
3)
LAN3 (Store) needs to be cabled to the customer back-office switch if available.
4)
LAN4 (Open) is free to be used by the location for any internet purpose they wish. You are not
required to cable LAN4.
5)
Contact Mako Installer Support on 844 807 0307 to have LAN 2 reconfigured to work without the
EZR. Have the site name or the Mako ID number (located on the back of the Mako) ready to
identify the location you are at to the support agent.
