IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

•  Connect the power plug with an easily reachable wall outlet so 

that in case of an emergency the appliance can be unplugged 
immediately. Pull the power plug out of the wall outlet to 
completely switch off the appliance. Use the power plug as 
the disconnect device which shall remain readily operable. 
The appliance is powered automatically when connected to 
the power supply.

• Unplug from the wall outlet when not in use and before 

cleaning.

•  Always turn the appliance off before disconnecting from the 

wall outlet.

• Under no circumstances open the appliance casing. Do not 

insert any foreign objects into the inside of the casing.

• Never use accessories which are not recommended by the 

manufacturer. They could pose a safety risk to the user and 

might damage the appliance. Only use original parts and 

accessories.

• Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces and open

 ames. Protect the appliance against heat, dust, direct 

sunlight, moisture, dripping and splashing water.

• Do not place heavy articles on top of the appliance. Do not 

place objects with open sources of

 re (e.g. candles) on top 

or beside the appliance. Do not place objects 

fi

 lled with water 

(e.g. vases) on or near the appliance.

•  Do not place the appliance on hot plates (gas, electric, coal 

cooking range etc.). Keep the appliance away from hot 

surfaces and open 

fl

 ames. Operate the appliance on a level, 

stable, clean, heat-resistant and dry surface.

•  Let the appliance cool down completely before storing.

• Use only loose rice in this appliance. Do not place rice in 

cooking bags in the appliance.

•  Only use the supplied rice scoop, a plastic or wood scoop to 

take rice out of the appliance. Metal scoops might damage 

the coating of the rice pot.

•  Always shut off the appliance 

fi

 rst and let it cool down before 

changing accessories.

• Do not leave the rice scoop or other objects in the rice pot 

while keep warm function is active.

• Do not use the keep warm function for warming up cooked 

rice.
