TXI DASH AND SCREENS
Functionality is explained in this section. Additional information
about certain aspects of the controls is also discussed in further
detail in other sections of this manual. Be sure to read the entire
manual before attempting to operate the controls.
TXi Standard Dash Gauges
The TXi Standard Instrument Panel features two (2) five-inch (5”)
gauges, which provide real-time information about important drive-
train functions. These are smart gauges that read information that
is broadcast on the communication network by the Engine Control
Module (ECM).
The Left Gauge is the Speedometer, which shows the boat’s speed
as determined by the paddlewheel mounted thru the hull or by
a GPS unit. The speed reads in miles per hour (mph) or kilometers
per hour (kph), depending on which is selected from the factory.
There are two smaller gauges that are built into the Speedometer.
The gauge in the lower left of the Speedometer is the Engine Cool-
ant Temperature. The gauge in the lower right of the Speedometer is
the Engine Oil Pressure.
The Right Gauge is the Tachometer, which shows the engine’s rota-
tional speed in revolutions per minute. There are two smaller gaug-
es that are built into the Tachometer. The gauge in the lower left
of the Tachometer is the Battery Voltage. The desired range during
engine operation is above 12 volts. See the battery information that
follows in this section of the Owner’s Manual for additional details
regarding the proper charging and battery switch designation. The
gauge in the lower right of the Tachometer is the Fuel Level. Note
that movement of the boat can affect the reading, especially as the
fuel level decreases. Be certain to read the Fueling information in
the Get Ready section of this manual before operating the boat for
important information.
