Opening a report
Report designer
is opened from within the main Zetasizer software. Select
Tools-Report Designer
to start the application and open a report with the
menu option
File-Open...
To save a report select
File-Save...
All reports are saved with default file
extension
.pag
.
A report
must
be saved in the
pages
directory if the report is to be listed in the
reports tabs of a measurement file.
Creating a report
A new report can be created in two ways.
.
From a blank page by selecting
File-New
and adding the content.
.
Alternatively it is often easier to create a new report by opening an existing
one, customising it to suit and then saving it under a different name.
For both ways, formatting the layout of a report and customising the content is
the same.
Laying out a report
The Report Designer
Control palette
(or
toolbox
) is a pop up window from
which the items such as graphs, data and expressions can be added to the report.
When a button is selected an area can be dragged on the report which will then
contain the selected item.
The control palette can be moved anywhere on the screen. It can be switched on
and off using the
View-Control palette
option on the menu.
The items that can be added using the toolbox are:
