Resilient coupling
A torsionally resilient coupling
Ã
is to be provided
between the engine and the gearbox.
This has the function of decoupling vibrations
between the engine and the drive train (gearbox,
propeller shaft and propeller). In this way, high
frequency vibrations created by the ignition cycle is
restricted to the engine crankshaft.
Furthermore, the transfer of low frequency
vibrations of the drive train to the engine is
prevented.
