5.2 Operation Overview
WARNING:
Ensure none of the pallets are positioned under the unit for an excessive
amount of time while the unit is on. Extreme heat can damage pallets, garments and/or cause a fire.
After the first color is printed, the pallet indexes to the flash position. The Photoelectric Sensor will sense the pallet
edge and signal the Quartz Heating Elements to turn on. When the time on the
Digital Controller
or
Flash Timer
reaches “0”, the Quartz Heating Elements turn off, completing the exposure cycle.
5.2.1 Adjusting Photoelectric Sensor
The amount of ambient light, garment color and the color of the floor all influence how the photoelectric sensor
detects the edge of the pallet. The angle and the sensitivity of the photoelectric sensor may both have to be
adjusted depending on the operating conditions. To adjust the angle of the sensor:
1.
Loosen screws (1). Rotate sensor (2) up to reposition. Tighten screws. Index pallets to test sensor.
The sensitivity of the photoelectric sensor may also have to be adjusted depending on operating conditions. To
adjust the sensitivity of the sensor:
1.
Turn sensitivity adjustment (1) clockwise to
increase
sensitivity and counterclockwise to
reduce
sensitivity. Index pallets to test sensor.
