SAFETY NOTES BEFORE FIRST USE         

 

 

2.1. GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

 HEATING panel heaters are only suitable for use as a heating element. Any improper use 

can lead to a significant danger to people, animals and the environment. 
 
• 

MAREX IR

 HEATING panel heaters are not intended to be used by persons (including children) with 

reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and / or knowledge, unless they 
are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions how to use 
the device. 
 
• All heating panels must be kept away from children. Children should be supervised to ensure 
they do not play with the device. 
 
• Heating panels are not suitable for use in rain or wet conditions, under water, and for any non-
intended use. 
 
• For all heating panels please observe the following installation instructions (see section 3).

HEATING panel heaters have a built-in safety switch that turns off the heating element 

automatically, if not handled correctly (i.e. overheating at high temperatures which may, for 
example, be a result of covering the heating element). By pulling the plug and after a wait of 
about 10 to 15 minutes, the safety switch is activated automatically and the unit is operational 
again. 
 

2.2. SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 

       

 

• DO NOT COVER. Warning: To avoid overheating, the heater must not be covered. Never cover 
the heating panel. This can cause heat build up. 
 
• The heater is very hot in use (depending on model, up to 125C). A contact could lead to serious
