Note:
Only those functions can be controlled remotely that are also
remotely controllable from the standard control unit. The codes for
the individual makes and items of home entertainment equipment
are to be found in the code list .
2.2 Infra-red transmission
If a button has been pressed and not released again, the remote
control unit is programmed in such a way that it breaks off after
approx. 30 seconds. This function is designed to prevent a drain on
the batteries in case the remote control unit should (for instance) slip
down the side of a chair so that a button remains pressed down.
2.3 Code library
The codes for the most frequently available television sets, video
recorders and satellite recievers are available in the code list library,
and a complete list in the Code List attached to these usage
instructions.
Note:
The three-digit code numbers allocated in this library are not
the same as the ones in the code libraries drawn up by other
manufacturers.
2.4 Punch Through
The punch through allows the user to activate the “volume” and
“mute” controls of the television set even when the remote control
unit is in “VCR” or “SAT” mode, without having to switch back to
“TV”.
2.5 Entering codes directly from the code library
The codes for the various items of equipment can be found in the
code list attached to these instructions. The code has to be entered
as follows:
1. Press the “SETUP” button and hold it down until the diode lights
up.
2. Release the “SETUP” button
3. Press the required mode-button (TV, VCR, SAT, etc.)
4. Enter the 3-digit code from the code table. The diode will
acknowledge each time a button is pressed.
5. If the code entered is the right one, the diode will go out when
the last digit has been entered. If an invalid code is entered, the
diode will flash for three seconds before going out.
6. The direct transfer of the code for your set has now been
completed.
NOTE:
If a number of codes are shown for one manufacturer, please
try them all out until you find the right one. After the code has been
entered, check that the television set reacts correctly to commands
from the remote control unit. If no functioning code can be found
under the name of the manufacturer, a code search will have to be
carried.
2.6 Code search
You have the facility available of searching through the all codes in
the library in order to find a certain television set that does not
appear in the library list or that does appear in the library but under
another manufacturer’s name.
