Programming the Operator Security Code

The display will then ask for a “New Operator Code?”.  To bypass programming of the operator code,
press ENTER at this time.  To program the operator code, enter a 5-digit number of your choice.  Each
digit entered will be acknowledged by moving the cursor in the display.  After the fifth digit, the dis-
play will confirm “New Operator Code Installed”.  The display will again offer the choice of program-
ming the “Security Codes” or “Stored Forms”.  To exit the programming mode, turn the lock key coun-
terclockwise and remove it.

¤

If the executive code and the operator code are programmed to be the same, then the
Model 911 will request only the executive code during setup.  The second security level
will be eliminated.

6.3

Programming the Stored Forms

Turn on the 911, insert and turn the lock key as explained above under PROGRAMMING.  Select
“Change Stored Forms” by pressing 2 on the keypad.  The display will then prompt for a “Form
Number?”.  Choose one of five stored forms by pressing the corresponding number.  The display will
show the current “Form Size” and “Batch Mode” stored under that form number.  The display will then
prompt you to press the ENTER key to redefine those settings.  To choose another form number, press
UNDO.  To redefine the settings for a selected form number, press ENTER.  The display will then
prompt you to “ENTER Form Size:”.  Form size is the length of the form from top to bottom.  Enter
that value in decimals.  For example, a form length 3 7/16” is entered as 3.437.  The display will then
prompt for a “Batch Mode?”.  Select Count UP to have the Model 911 imprint documents until the
paper is depleted.  Select Count DOWN to have the Model 911 imprint a preset quantity of documents.
Finally the display will ask if you want to program another form number.  A “Yes” answer brings back
the “Form Number?” prompt.  A “No” answer brings back the initial programming prompt to choose
“Security Codes” or “Stored Forms”.

7.0     OPERATION

Set the POWER switch to the “On” position by pressing 1 on the switch.  Follow the display prompts
to enter the executive code.  Open the cover within five seconds to install signature plates or to adjust
the signature plate’s drum and platen horizontally to coincide with the signature block on the docu-
ment.  Select a stored form or enter the form size manually.  Select a batch mode (Count UP until paper
is depleted, or Count DOWN from a preset quantity.)  Initiate the signing process.

At each step the Model 911 displays a prompt for an entry or action.  At some of the steps, supplemen-
tal messages are displayed.  To suppress the supplemental messages, press any key immediately after
power is switched on, before the prompt “Enter Executive Codes” appears.

Setup Steps

The prompts and messages in the display are self-explanatory.  For reference, here is a list of the
prompts and the choices available at each prompt.  Prompts not necessary for a particular setup will be
skipped.
