Neutral Electrode Connector
In the case of the “m” and “e” socket modules (maxium 80-042-00 and 80-042-
04), the socket (13) can be used for connecting Martin standard neutral-electrode
cables featuring a 6.3-mm coaxial plug.
If your maxium unit has an “i” socket module (maxium 80-042-02), the
socket (13) is intended for connecting a neutral electrode cable fea-
turing a symmetrical, rectangular plug that meets US standards.

Connectors
The maxium enables connection of two different footswitches – a dual-pedal footswitch to socket
(20), and a single-pedal footswitch to socket (21).
The footswitch to be connected to socket (20) features two pedals, a yellow one
and a blue one. The yellow pedal is intended for monopolar as well as bipolar
cutting, while the blue pedal is intended for monopolar and bipolar coagulating.
Accordingly, the yellow pedal can be freely assigned to any cutting channel
while the blue pedal can be freely assigned to any coagulation channel.
The additional footswitch connector (21) allows you to connect a single-pedal
footswitch that, as an “all-rounder”, can be freely assigned to any cutting or co-
agulation channel, whether monopolar or bipolar. Thus, it allows using instru-
ments for monopolar cutting or coagulating as well as for bipolar cutting or co-
agulating.
