Argon Beamer Status
The maxium allows connection of the maxium Beamer, an argon beamer
that is completely controlled through the maxium and therefore lacks a
separate control panel and display. Consequently, all maxium Beamer-
related status indicators are also seen in the maxium’s display. After
selecting an argon-supported current, a “gas cylinder“ indicator showing
the approximate filling level is displayed in the upper right section of the
screen.
This indicator gives you an overview of your approximate argon gas supply and also alerts you
when no argon gas is available at all (because cylinder is empty or angle valve closed).
5.6 Menu
Field
After pressing the MENU button, you can navigate through the Menu
field with the rotary switch to select an item. In the upper section of the
Menu field, the names of the three programs last used are displayed.
The “Programs” menu item allows administration of the unit’s settings.
You can select from existing settings (programs), store changed set-
tings permanently in the non-volatile memory or delete programs from
the non-volatile memory.
The channel activated last can be selected and set via the “Power”,
“Current type” and “Pedal” menu items.
The Setup menu item gives you access to a number of submenus, thus
enabling you to make parameter changes of secondary significance.
To select a menu item after highlighting it with the rotary switch, press the rotary switch axially.
This also quits the Menu field. To quit the Menu field without making any selection, just press the
MENU button instead of the rotary switch (corresponds to the so-called “escape” function in this
case).
