10. Monitor the cleaner and test its cleaning performance.
6.3
Replacing the cleaner blades
1. Release the spring tensioners according to the specifications of
the relevant instruction manual.
2. Loosen the locking screws (1, Fig.10) on the spring tensioner
and the locking sleeve.
3. The spring tensioner may have to be removed entirely.
CAUTION! DANGER OF DAMAGE!
Never operate the conveyor belt cleaner for more than 15 minutes
on the running and unloaded conveyor belt. There is the risk of the
belt cleaner getting damaged and/or the conveyor belt getting
damaged by overheating.
Operate the conveyor belt cleaner only when the conveyor belt is
running.
WARNING! DANGER OF INJURY!
Body parts and/or clothing may get caught and pulled in by rotat-
ing parts or by the moving conveyor belt.
Before any installation or maintenance work is carried out, ensure
that all power sources to the conveyor belt system and its acces-
sories are switched off and secured against inadvertent switching-
on. Use warning signs!
