time). Power conditioning will also be off if set to ECO Mode. This mode is not
recommended for loads that require zero transfer time function.
In ECO Mode, LCD will display
“ECO”.
3.2.7.
EPO Mode
EPO (Emergency Power Off) Mode is a safety feature used to remotely shut
down the UPS in emergency conditions (e.g., fire or other response requiring
rapid building evacuation).
When the EPO switch is activated by removing the EPO Tab, the UPS
immediately cuts off power to connected equipment and turns off the rectifier and
inverter. The battery charger also stops charging the batteries. The UPS control
circuit will remain active if there is a mains power source supplied to the input
power (e.g., wall outlet).
A “EPO” status code will appear on the LCD while in
this mode.
You will not be able to operate the UPS normally or completely shut off the UPS
from the control panel until the EPO status is deactivated by reinserting the EPO
Tab.
To restart the UPS after triggering EPO Mode:
1)
Ensure the cause of requiring EPO Mode has been resolved.
2)
Reinsert the EPO Tab.
3)
Press the ON button for 2 seconds before releasing. UPS will start up
normally after it completes diagnostics.
3.2.8.
Fault Mode
If the UPS detects internal failure and the inverter needs to halt, it will go into
Fault Mode and a warning symbol will flash on-screen and emit an audible alert.
In Fault Mode, the equipment has a risk of power loss due to the output power
coming from bypass.
In Fault Mode, such as Bus Fault, the corresponding fault string will flash on-
screen to indicate the operating mode of the UPS and the LCD background light
will be red. For example,
“SHOR” will be shown when the load or the UPS output
is short. The LCD module is shown in the following diagram. Refer to the
Troubleshooting section for further information.
