•
Do not disconnect the ground conductor cable from the UPS or the building
wiring terminals at any time as this would cancel the protective grounding of
the UPS system and all connected equipment.
•
This UPS contains internal batteries and may carry live voltage even when
the UPS is disconnected from the branch circuit (mains).
•
Do not unplug the input power cord while the UPS is running off AC power.
This removes the protecting grounding from the UPS.
•
Ensure that no liquid or other foreign objects can enter the UPS. Never install
this UPS near water, including aquariums, or other high-risk activities.
•
CAUTION: Risk of electric shock or fire.
Do not use extension cords or
surge protectors to or from the UPS, and do plug the UPS input into itself. All
of these may damage the UPS, be a fire hazard, cause overload, or damage
connected equipment.
•
CAUTION: Risk of suffocation, choking, physical injury, or electric
shock.
Do not allow people with reduced sensory, physical, or mental
capacity, children, or pets play with or be left unattended with the packaging
material, plastic bags, battery, UPS, or other small parts.
1.3.
MAINTENANCE
•
CAUTION: Risk of electric shock.
The UPS operates with hazardous
voltages. Maintenance, repair, or battery replacement should be carried out
only by qualified maintenance personnel only.
•
CAUTION: Risk of electric shock.
Even after the unit is disconnected from
the mains power supply (building wiring terminal), components inside the
UPS are still connected to the battery which have potentially dangerous.
•
Before carrying out any kind of service and/or maintenance, please
disconnect the batteries. Verify that no current is present and no hazardous
voltage exists in the capacitor or BUS capacitor terminals.
•
CAUTION: Risk of electric shock.
The battery circuit is not isolated from the
input voltage. Hazardous voltage may occur between the battery terminals
and the ground. Verify that no voltage is present before servicing.
•
WARNING: Electric energy hazard.
Do not attempt to alter any battery
wiring or connectors. Attempting to alter wiring can cause serious injury.
•
Only replace the fuse only with the same type and of the same amperage in
order to avoid fire hazards.
1.4.
BATTERY SAFETY
•
Batteries should only be serviced or replaced by qualified personnel who are
familiar with the procedures and safety precautions.
•
When replacing batteries, replace with the same type and number of batteries
or battery packs. Only replace with new batteries.
